Wright was born 12 July 1976, from Sunderland, Tyne and Wear, where she was raised by adoptive parents. She began dancing and acting at a young age. She was a student at the famous Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute as well as The Barrow Group in New York City. The waitressing gig was cut short through auditions for different roles. She was scuba diving which was a passion of hers, and suffered a cardiac incident at sea, which put her in a state of coma. After a few days, she passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family, who flew to her side in the hospital.
